this is project Boomcar, our first effort to make a succesfull SPL vehicle that will score at least 160db''s.

This is Tim and he likes to take things apart so he had to do the complete installation aswell.

not much left is easier to built up again.

Since we wanted to create a small box made from the drivers compartiment we had to create several strong layers of strong mdf to decrease the volume.

the socond layer and the new dash allready installed. note the hole in center console, for the shift and handbrake levers.

the steering column and padals are still in the factory position, so we can drive the car on a trailer.

This is how we want it, looks okay allready.the next thing is to create a stronger windscreen.

first we attached 5 steel t bars to the car''s body.then, we created 4 frames to glue the 4 new screens in. We used 1/4"double layered glass.

Coerd uses windowlocks to keep the upper side of the door closed.

the sub wall is created out of 3/4"mdf and has the shape of eleven little boxes to give the wall more strenght.

almost finished, later we created the ceiling out of 3/4"mdf aswell.

the wall with the subs is not closed, we wanted to see what the woofers did in the interior(box).this box is way to big, we realised this allready in the first place but hey this is our first effort remember?

the amps in place and have a look on the batteries, we used two giant CENTURION batteries
